A 1999 graduate of the New England College of Optometry, Dr. Neitzke completed externships at the Boston VA Medical Center, Brook Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, the South Boston Community Health Center, and the New England College of Optometry Clinic in Boston. These diverse clinical experiences provided a strong foundation in comprehensive eye care and the management of a wide range of ocular conditions.

Before entering private practice, Dr. Neitzke served as Executive and Clinical Director for TLC Laser Eye Centers, overseeing locations in Brookfield, Madison, Chicago, and Des Moines. He then spent more than 20 years practicing alongside Dr. Barry Dahlgren in West Allis, caring for generations of families before Dr. Dahlgren’s retirement.
In 2024, Dr. Neitzke proudly became the owner of Meadowbrook Eye Care. While the practice transitioned from The Eye Group to Meadowbrook Eye Care, his commitment to delivering the same trusted, high-quality care has remained unchanged. He is excited to continue serving both longtime and new patients while building on the practice’s tradition of excellence.
Dr. Neitzke is deeply committed to advancing the profession of optometry. He serves as the local representative for Vision Source, North America’s premier network of independent optometrists, collaborating with colleagues to continually improve patient care and private practice excellence. Throughout his career, he has valued the strong relationships he has built with fellow optometrists, staff members, and industry partners.
His professional leadership includes approximately 10 years of service on the Wisconsin Optometric Association Board of Directors, including serving as President in 2010. He also served as President of the Milwaukee Optometric Society for three years and has maintained active membership in the Wisconsin Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and Milwaukee Optometric Society for more than 25 years.
Outside the office, Dr. Neitzke lives in Vernon, Wisconsin, with his wife of over 25 years, Kelly, an attorney with Walden, Neitzke & Kuhary, S.C. They are proud parents of two children. Their son graduated from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse and works in technology sales. Their daughter attends the University of Wisconsin–Madison as a pre-med student while proudly serving as a Combat Medic with the Wisconsin Air National Guard’s 115th Fighter Wing. Dr. Neitzke is especially proud to be both a National Guard dad and a Badger dad.
When he isn’t caring for patients, Dr. Neitzke enjoys golfing at Morningstar Golfers Club, hunting, traveling, tackling home improvement projects, and spending quality time with his family.
